While there is a need a constructive dialogue about hydraulic fracturing in Colorado, legislative acrobatics isn’t the way to meaningful and lasting reforms. The rush to push SB19-181 through the General Assembly amounts bypassing the will of voters who already deemed one effort to extreme. The oil and gas industry is far too important to the state’s present and future economy to attempt to run roughshod over it and the citizens who rely on it for their livelihood.
